About these calculators
Our walling calculators cover the key materials used in brick and block construction - mortar for bedding and pointing, render for external and internal wall finishes.
The Mortar Calculator covers standard brickwork and blockwork with adjustable cement:sand ratios from 1:3 (strong, structural) to 1:6 (lean, pointing). It outputs cement bag count, sand in tonnes and pre-mixed mortar bags.
The Rendering Calculator lets you enter multiple walls and deduct windows and doors to get an accurate net area. It covers sand:cement external and internal render, monocouche and pre-mixed bagged products.
