Choosing the right skip

Skip sizes in the UK are measured in cubic yards. The most common sizes for domestic use are:

  • Mini skip (2 yd3) - small garden clearance or single room clear-out
  • Midi skip (4-5 yd3) - bathroom or kitchen refit, moderate garden clearance
  • Builders skip (6-8 yd3) - most common for renovations, extensions and house clearances
  • Maxi skip (10-12 yd3) - larger renovations, groundwork, commercial clearance
